Does the PSP cause nausea?

915 Views 12 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  Dr. Cheesesteak
Hi,

My wife got me a PSP for an early Christmas gift. Everything looks great but the problem is that it seems to make me nauseous when I use it.

I watched a couple of TV shows from Tivo of the memory stick and have been playing GTA, Star Wars Battlefront and Burnout.

Does anyone else have these problems? I don’t have these problems when I play my xBox or DS. Maybe I’m just too old.

Nah.. i love my PSP!

Really only play Hot Shots Golf on it though.. that and watch movies/pics/mp3's off the mem stick
I'd see a doctor man, maybe you have a sensitivity you need to look into.

I love my PSP.
fps cause nausea for me, but unless it's a very windy road, the psp is great.

no problems with the ds either.

Zinger is aparently utilizing an Infocus 4805 (a DLP front projector) and (regardless of what does or doesn't happen with X-box) - DLP itself is the first issue to look for in this situation -as single chip DLPs in certain situations are notorious for creating just such a problem

what in the hell are you talking about? PSP is a handheld device. Get with it.
I haven't played psp much, but I can't play most fast action games because of this, but I've always had motion sickness problems so I never thought that much about it. I can only play some games for 15 min or so at a time. I can't play GTA at all the camera angles and the way you look around so quickly kills me.
I experience the same thing from playing THUG2 on my PSP. I get sweaty and nauseous, and have to stop playing.

It really sucks.

The only other time this has happened to me with a game is Half-Life 2's boat section - but I am horribly prone to motion sickness anyway. I can't be a passenger in a car for more than 5 minutes without wanting to puke.
