Hi, I have following components for watching 3D blu ray.

1-Sony VAIO laptop VGN-FW21L with blu ray drive and HDMI port.

2-Power DVD 12 installed.

2- AV Receiver Onkyo TX-SR 803 and KEF speaker system

3-Optoma HD 66 projector.

4-Projector Screen

I am still looking for DLP link 3D glasses.

Questions:

1-What devices do I still need to watch 3D contents?

2-Does work any DLP link glasses with Optoma HD66?

Thank you guys.

1. 3D-XL from Optoma or the VIewSonic 3D Video Processor (cheaper)

2. yes. DLP Link enabled anything (HDTVs or Projectors) are all compatible with any brand, make, or model of DLP Link glasses.

Why 3D-XL from Optoma or the VIewSonic 3D Video Processor?

How about Power DVD 12 software?

Power DVD 12 has also 3D ability.

If I remember correctly, the intel graphics hardware does not support the frame-sequential 3d format, which is what your projector is compatible with. You need the 3d-xl adapter to convert from HDMI 1.4a 3D (frame-packed) to 120 Hz frame-sequential (which is supported by PDVD if you have the hardware, NVidia or AMD).

The VAIO laptop has ATI mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series. No intel garphics.

AMD HD 5xxx is the lowest hardware supporting frame sequential 3D.
