First, let me start with my setup.
HTPC ---> HDMI ----> XBOX One ---> HDMI ---> Sony AVR ---> HDMI ----> TV
XBox One is handling the audio decoding (5.1 Uncompressed Output through HDMI)
Now the issue.
Everything works fine, and I get surround sound from all sources..... EXCEPT Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD files.
I got the files from demo-world.eu/trailers/high-definition-trailers.php (Both 5.1 TrueHD and DTD HD)
I played the files in VLC,MPC, and through the "Send To" option from the HTPC. Same result, video and no sound. Again, DD5.1 and DTS 5.1 work fine.
So my question is, does XBOX One Decode Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD? If not, how can I bitstream it to the amp?
