Howdy all,

I have HDTV via Warner Cable here in Houston and was wondering if anyone knew why the broadcast is not in Dolby 5.1? Also, any idea of when it will be? If I could sync up the 5.1 sound from DTV to the picture from Cable I'd be real happy.....

Thanks,

Ski

The cable is carrying whatever is provided from the source. Usually the DD 3/2 comes up from channel 313 ABC and from HBO and SHO. Other HD channels have snuck one in from time to time but nothing you can count on. I think there is a decored issue for 5.1 from non HD like STRZ which used to provide 5.1 through my DirectTV dish when I lived in Corpus Christi.

Now that PBS is up I'll be waiting for some sound from them to match their videos.
