I recently upgraded my hard drive, all went well except for the fact that my unit no longer outputs sound in Dolby Digital 5.1 (where appropriate) as it did before. The sound is still perfectly OK, it's just not 5.1.


Does anyone know what I could have done to make this happen?

it's possable that when you downloaded the software again after the upgrade of your hard drive it changed your settings to pcm (stereo). go into your settings and change it back to DD. just a thought. hope it helps, and please post whatever you do to fix it.

swwagner1 is right about the fix. The default setting is PCM, so you just need to change it in the audio settings.
