Don't Cuddle Up Too Close To That HD!

Why worry about the 1 in a million health effects of EMR, when we take a 1 in 5000 chance PER YEAR of dying in a motor vehicle... but you still drive.
Sweat the big stuff: cardiovascular disease, cancer, car wrecks, not wearing safety belts or motorcycle helmets, smoking tobacco, drinking alcohol excessively, family violence, etc.
It just makes me CRAZY as a physician/surgeon when patients worry incessantly about the little stuff like living too close to power lines, etc.
It's like worrying about germs "oh my gawd I'll die if I'm exposed to germs!!!" -- but you need trillions of the little friendly germs in your intestines just to help you digest foods properly and avoid infections by worse germs that could move in. Too little exposure to germs as a child and you can develop allergies later in life...
the obsessive human mind is great at imagining problems where no real threat exists, and the government spends literally hundreds of millions of dollars trying to make their constituents "feel" better, even when the scientific evidence is shoddy or statistically near insignificant.
