I'm nearing the end of my design phase, but I still have one issue I haven't tackled. I'm building a built-in wall of cabinets and shelves to hold speakers, an RPTV, DVDs, etc. To the right will be a space for a flexy rack. The flexy rack will be on casters so that I can roll it out of its cubby hole and mess with wires. Covering this cubby hole will be a door and that is where I am stuck. I can't figure out what to make the door out of.
The door will be 2'X6'
Here are my priorities in order:
1. allows heat transfer
2. blocks some light as I think tons of LEDs are distracting
3. easy to build
4. cheap
5. looks good
My only idea so far is to make what is essentially a screen door with a dull aluminum screen. It would allow heat transfer but it wouldn't block much light. I also think this would look kinda weird indoors. Thanks for any suggestions.
