My initial requirements were:

*Plasma

*1000-1300

*55+ inches


I've narrowed it down to three options:

LG 60PV450

LG 60PZ550

Panasonic TC-P60ST30


Those are in order of price, the difference between the lowest and highest is about 300 bucks.


I don't care about 3D either way. I'm leaning toward the lower LG because it's cheaper but I've heard a lot about the Panasonic. Is it worth the 300 buck increase?

The LGs are going to have worse blacks and very reflective screens, I say the ST looks better in every way but you should go to a store and compare.

+1 on Sunkist's post hands down st30 only lg's that compare to it would be the pz950 or 750. And I would take the gt30 over the 950.

The LG 60PV450 may be worthy of consideration if you were looking for a decent budget model and were able to get the Fry's $899 deal. But beware of glare, IR and dithering. And blacks may be ok but not the best.
