Looks pretty good. For the first time I'm actually considering purchasing a CE over a bare bones ($15 price difference). Still debating it though...

I'm also debating whether to get the collector's edition. I'll be surprised if the game itself is anything less than superb.

Only if it has the full Marilyn Manson soundtrack that I've seen in the trailers.

I'm sorry, but despite all the hopeful denials ("the trailers are just cut that way to get new people interested"/"the game will be traditional Bioware goodness"/"Castro's not really a Communist"), I'm convinced that EA is going to wreck all the subtle, human touches that made Bioware adventures so unique. Look at the horror-movie box art, I mean is this an epic action/RPG or a slasher film?

The E3 demonstration video (not the trailer) does show some of the unique BioWare elements intact. At the same time, it has an added edginess that I certainly welcome.

You could always go the Steam route but then you'll have to deal with their DRM anyways.

I generally like to have a hardcopy in hand for an expensive product like this, but if nothing extra is offered over the bare-bones edition, I have no objection going the Steam route.

I actually placed my order before that $10GC deal was there, so I called up tried to find out what was going on. Even though it said it would apply to all previous "pre-orders", she said she wasn't sure if that applied to just the boots or the GC so I should just cancel and reorder.
