I've got an 8ohm compatible receiver (Pioneer VSX-810). Yorkville YSM1i's rated at 4ohms for the left and right channels, and a Paradigm CC-170 v1.3 center channel rated at 8ohms. The end result is a terrible match. The left and rights are crystal clear, and the center is all muddy. Dialog is terrible for the most part. More so if it's a female voice. I spend so much time rewinding it's insane. The test tones show (by my ear) a +4 db or so for the center is required, but I still can't hear dialog well enough. So I've settled on +7 db for the most part. Any advice?

I'm tempted to buy another pair of Yorkvilles for center (and center rear, since they come in pairs) as they sound incredible, but I don't think the receiver could take another pair at 4ohms and live a heathly life. A new receiver is not an option.
