Is there any way to skirt all of these copyright schemes?

What combination of hardware and software is best to make this a reality?

I am building a HTPC to play DVDS, Music and Tune HDTV what should I avoid?

I know HDMI is out and so Is MCE2005.. what else should I be aware of?

Um, not sure what you're getting at.

Unless your content comes DRM'd (eg purchased-downloaded music), DRM is a non-issue. Nothing will apply DRM to something that didn't start with it.

Why is HDMI out? HDMI is capable of HDCP, but does not require it (unless the source is HDMI/HDCP, which a PC isn't).

DVDs are DRM'd (sort of) to start with, but that's a non-issue.

CDs aren't.

There is no Broadcast Flag.
