I get intermittent digital audio drop-outs on my Charter Cable HDTV service, it happens at random intervals, maybe 2-30 times per hour. It's so distracting when watching a movie that I end up switching to the RCA Analog audio connections instead of putting up with the 1/4 to 1/2 second or so drop-out. I have a Scientific Atlanta 3100HD connected to a Sony STR-DA4ES using a Monster Digital Coax cable. I already tried removing the Monster 2 Ghz 2-way Cable splitter and connecting directly, but that didn't help. I have no drop-outs using my Hipix with Digital Coax, so it's not my receiver or cable quality.

Is this is problem with the source transmission from Charter, or is it my wiring (standard 75 OHM Cable wiring, not RG-6), or the crappy Scientific Atlanta 3100HD? Has anyone else experienced this and been able to fix it?
