Should have added if you are working by yourself (which i almost always am) dont try to do it without one. Also handy if you have extremely tall ceilings.
Yes I do but in this basement the ceiling before clips channel and double layer of drywall was 8 ft 2 inches+/-. So for building efficiency we put up the ceiling first. Then caulked the $hit out of both layers on the walls. The one I did today was ceiling, wall, ceiling, wall. (making Bacon build) His ceiling was 8 ft 6 in and He ordered 9 ft drywall.
