Currently I use Dscaler for 4x3 NSTC viewing. It rocks. I'm on the list to get an ISCO II Lens. Since I don't have the lens I can't test this, but I imagine that setting the aspect ratio of the display to 1.85 and the aspect ratio of the image to 1.33 will work. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Thanks,

Adam ; I guess this will work fine. Dscaler aspect ratio module has been designed with simplicity in mind. We even (tried to) chose precisely the words we use so that it's easy to figure the thing out.

All you need is ;
  • Aspect ratio of display screen (independent from desktop resolution)
  • aspect ratio of source (and anamorphic or not)

That's all. I guess that you only need to choose the "Aspect ratio of display screen" to the ratio given by the Isco and let Dscaler do the rest.

I use this myself (Display AR is always 16:9, but source is not always the same) with auto aspect-ratio feature and this works great. I really don't need to worry anymore about AR settings.
