Hi, I'm running dscaler 4.16. I come across a strange phenomena. The brightness of the image seems to change by itself. The picture is suddenly dim. After a major scene change, the picture will become brighter and for a while, dim all of a sudden again. I tried different deinterlacing method and it won't help. Any comment? (I turned off the automatic deinterlancing)


I'm using Flyvideo2000 capture card.

What source are you using?

Is there some form of AGC in the source?

Is there Macrovision copy-protection in the source?

Sure sounds like a macrovison thing... Don't know if you could get around it by adjusting the macrovision timing (D and shift+D on keyboard) in dscaler or not, but it might be worth a try.

I seem to have gotten rid of it by unchecking both white peak and colour peak options under SAA7134 card=>Misc. Settings. Give that a try.
