Okay, I give up. What is going on here. Initially I thought it was a genlock problem, but now I have no idea what is going on:

Cyan bleedthrough:

Blue:

Green:

Another green:

Cyan and green:

Cyan, green and yellow(?):

Since more than one color is showing through at a time, it doesn't seem like a genlock color problem.

Also I have a magenta line across the bottom of my screen when running dScaler.

Configuration:

Athlon 800

Pinnacle PCTV

GeForce II GTS (Creative Labs brand)

dScaler

I have sometimes seen that kind of color blossoming when the BDELAY parm is too low.

Try hitting either D or sh-D a few times.

The band at the bottom can probably be corrected with Overlay in the Video Adjustments screen.

Upon closer examination, it's almost like very high saturated (intense chroma) areas suddenly invert. I don't think adjusting the color levels helps. But I will double check as soon as I get home.

Hi !

Check your Desktop, is anything cyan behind the DScaler Window ?

DTV uses a "Magenta" Mask, so everything behind the DTC Window which was colored Magenta gets a "shine-trough".

Might be, that DScaler is switched to cyan ? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif

Richard

PS.: Littlew edit:

What i see is that these "shinetroughs" are all!! in Magenta Areas of the Sourcepic !!

So i think, you DO have Cyan behind the DScaler Window !

Close all other Windows in the background, also you might check a black desktop in the background, should solve the problem http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Tom,

Thanks! The D and sh-D solved the problem! However the magenta line at the bottom is still there. I looked for "Overlay" in the Video Adjustments screen, but there is no such setting. There is "Overscan" but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Thanks again,

Jeremy

Yes, I should type more carefully. I did mean Overscan. Sorry it didn't help.

That pink line is vaguely familiar to me from the mailing list but I don't remember what it is about.

Maybe something to do with Aspect Ratio. Let's hope it's fixed in the new release as I know basically nothing about that code.

Please, any other DScaler folks jump in here.

Hi everybody.

Quote:
Hopefully, the auto-detect on aspect ratio (which still marked as 'experimental') can be improved on the upcoming releases.
No, it will not be improved in comparison to the last alpha version. Maybe default values for ini parameters will be updated if you all give me your values (see specific thread).

Quote:
what is the linear correction filter?
It is a new filter I created to apply trapezoidal correction. But it is more generic in fact. For the moment, it is unsable because it eats really too much CPU.

it's better on my application than the gamma filter.
With default ini parameters, this filter does nothing ! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Still marked as 'experimental', I hope the linear filter algorithm will be perfected in the next release.
Not in the upcoming release. But I hope for the next one.
