Okay, I read all of the posts about dscaler and the

STB TVPCI card and don't have a clue what everyone

was talking about...sorry, but I don't understand

this video and audio stuff. But I have a question.

My STB TVPCI card is running on a Windows 2000

machine (was originally on a Win 98se machine with

Visual Reality software....worked fine there until

I upgraded to 2000 a couple of years ago....everything

quit working so I just took the card out of the machine).

Right now I get video only, no sound.

I can watch any of my 80 cable channels but I get no

sound. Have a wire connected from my STB TVPCI card

to my SoundBlaster card (plugged into the AUX INPUT

plug on the SoundBlaster).

Went through a bunch of the audio setup functions on

dscaler and don't know what any of them mean. And I

still get no sound.

Question::::Can I get sound from the STB Card, and the

SoundBlaster Card, and dscaler, all running on Win 2K.

If the answer is NO, just say so and I'll take the card

out again. If the answer is YES, please, please tell me

how.

Thanks.

Tom Allen

This may be a stupid question, but have you opened the windows sound mixer to make sure that the aux input is not muted?
