Hi,

I want to distribute my local modulated channels through out the

house sharing the RG6 cable carrying my DSS incoming signal with the

use of diplexers.

Will this setup work ? will I need filters through the cable or

the diplexers will take care of the filtering.

Using the diplexors should work just fine.

Scooper is correct. Normal diplexors should work fine without extra filtering.

This technique will work with decent agile UHF modulators as well.

The subharmonics of the DSS carriers are pretty weak and should cause little interference with the modulator's analog video carriers.

And the harmonics of the modulator carriers are low enough to not cause problems with the DSS carriers.

I have a similar set-up, but I am currently experiencing PQ problems.

Here is a thread that explains my set-up http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hreadid=183249

When I take the NTSC cable signal out of the equation, PQ on the DSS, through the house is fine. When I take the DSS signal out, the cable picture is fine.

I purchased a SATELLITE IN-LINE AMPLIFIER but this did not improve the PQ.

The problem seems to be when NTSC and DSS are combined.

I am not sure if my experience will help at all, I am currently not running NTSC to any of my (3) tv's.
