I have been using a silver sensor for OTA channels...

after hearing that work on WTC antenna was nearing completion I tried PIX & PBS last night.

I went into the set up menu and checked the signal strength meter and was getting 65 for PIX(WB).

I then did a channel scan but it did not pick it up on the channel list.

Do I have to clear the channel list when I scan or is there something else I am doing wrong?

I tried manually tuning by pressing 11-1.. no luck

Any thoughts or suggestions?

To simplify things, first tune to an existing active digital channel.

Open the DST-3000's menu and click on Setup...Installation...Local Area...Channel.

[If you did not tune to an existing DTV channel in advance, you would need to select the signal type as 'Local Digital']

Enter the channel number '33' for WPIX. It should then be added to your scan menu as 11-1.

Good luck.

Mune,

The actual frequency of WPIX is 33-1. Within the signal, it tells your receiver to remap the channel number to 11-1. Until 33-1 is tuned in, and tells your receiver to remap, the receiver doesn't know what 11-1 is. What kschonha told you to do will work, but isn't necessary. All you need to do is to tune into channel 33-1. The remap will take place, and then you can tune into 11-1 from that point on.
