DSX Height question

695 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  moose18729
I'm getting some new speakers for a better timbre match and will have a set of Cambridge Soundworks Bi/Di/Direct laying around. I want to use these as Height speakers and I know that they should be mounted as high on the wall as possible and tilted to the listener but could they just be mounted flush or must they be pointing down. It would be much simpler to just put a screw in the wall than trying to angle them down.

Anyone who has done this please give me your hands on experience.

definitely angle them. high frequencies disappear pretty quickly off-axis.

also, check the audyssey guidelines for placement...but i believe that the 'highs' are supposed to be at 45* spread (left/right) from the listening position, and also 45* azimuth (elevation).
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for posting on this forum. I am now very happy with my rc-10's and rc-minis.
