Back in March, I was painting my house (home theater room included), so my home theater was in a million pieces. I moved the RCA DTC-100 into the unfinished part of the basement where the cables from the dishes enter the house. I also moved my VCR down there, and set up the DTC-100 to automatically tape my usual programs. Twice a week I switched to a fresh tape to avoid running out.

Anywho, all the programs I taped before March 20 were fine. Those programs after March 20 weren't. Where I expected to find "Ed" (Wednesday from 8 to 9pm), I got what was on from 9pm to 10pm instead. I eventually carted my 20" TV downstairs and hooked it up to the DTC-100 and check the timers. They were ALL off by one hour.

In fact, if I go into my "past upgrades" screen, the upgrade that originally showed up as 11/29/00 at 4:30pm now shows up as 11/29/00 at 5:30pm!

Methinks RCA is storing all time values as an offset from some arbitrary starting point and is not recalculating them when the time changes.
