From what I've read, all you need to connect your dtc100 (or HTPC) VGA port to the Mits is a BNC5 cable, because the Mits has RGBHV. What about my Toshiba 61H70, which only has RGB component, no HV part? Do I need an RCA converter box RCA VHDC-300, or can use the cable and ignore the HV part?

You will need the transcoder that changes RGBHV (VGA) to Hi-Band Component. Either the RCA or the Audio Authority unit will work. www.audioauthority.com is wherre you can order their transcoder.

The Mits accepts RGBHV while your Toshiba does not.

This leads to another newbie question. Is video quality the same between the "VGA to RGBHV" and "VGA to transcoder to component?"
