DTP Sever/client not communicating

I have both my server and the client on a Home 10/100 network they both are running winxp pro, file sharing and internet sharing all work well.


I cannot get DTP client to execute a program on the server. I'm sure I could do it before the latest release. Is it me being Dumb? or am I overlooking something.


The Client has the IP address set to the servers address 192-168-0-38 and the port numbers match. I have enabled ethernet mode.

The help menu doesnt seem to help much.


What I am trying to achieve is to launch a program on the server (HTPC) with my progear. Once that is working I can try other things, like launch dvd's, girder commands,etc


Is there a network test function on DTP?
