this isn't an issue of stutter, but more so of the audio will just completely cut without the receiver giving me any indication of why. I have no issues playing blu through my PS3 in DTS, only my HTPC with MKV and DTS encoded audio. Last night I switched off my receiver and then back on, and the audio was there again. I'm simply playing MKV through MPC-HC, powerdvd 7 for mkv with video acceleration on, audio through AC3, and that's it. No issues with MKV using any other audio, only DTS. AC3 is set for SPDIF pass though, but maybe I need to tweak some of the DTS settings in AC3? Anyone help?

I've been working on the same problem to play my bluray disks that I've ripped to mkv files. From what I understand you can rip just the audio track first using tsmuxer then convert that to flac or dolby digital using eacto. then you can remux the audio and video together with tsremuxer.

My question is: Is there any codec that can deal with the dts soundtracks in the mkv files themselves?

Thanks.
