Sorry, but I got a newb question. I read the HD FAQ that is posted at the top of this forum and have a quick question.

It appears that the FCC is stating that all programming will be Digital by 2006. Does this mean it will be HD or just plain digital? OR are they saying that by 2006 all programming will be HD?

It just seems there is a big push for wide screen tv's because in 2006 all programming will be digital. The last time I checked digital does not mean HD neccessarly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Latoka,

The majority of televisions sold are still 4:3. At the end of 2006, most stations may be digital, but many stations and cable networks will still not be HD or even widescreen.

And analog TV will still be going strong (even though I wish they would kill it).
