Dual digital tuner?

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and hope you can help.

I currently have a Pioneer PDP5020 HD Plasma flat screen TV. It has a split-screen feature. I have a ComCast digital cable box. The split screen won't run the digital signal on both screens. I have to run analog on one and the digital cable on the other.

I'm in the market for another flat screen plasma. I'd like one with picture-in-picture or split-screen capabilities. But I want one that can show digital cable on both screens.

Looking at the new Pioneer Kuro line, they all advertise 1x digital and 2x analog tuners.

Does anyone make a 2x digital tuner? I just want PIP on my TV and can't believe that the move to digital cable has compromised my ability to do this!

(I have an older 35" Sony television with great PIP cababilities on analog).

I think the new Vizio 505 will do PIP from any source. Unfortunately that may be the only option.

one other way to do this is get a tv with a cablecard in which case you can get to digital windows, one from the the primary tuner (tuner A for kuros) and the other from the input connected to the stb. you can do this even without a cablecard but you get only a few basic channels from the tuner.

having said that, i would point out that the future of cablecards looks shaky due to switchover to SDV and i don't know if which tvs are have the cablecard featrue.
