If I some one has two identical PJs (say 1024x768), what about placing them side by side in a dual monitor setup and playing the same movie at double the horiz resolution? In this case 2048x768 , which can nicely accomodate a 2.35:1 ratio. Has this been looked at before?

I think this was discussed a long while back.

If I recall, some of the issues where:

need special software to split the image, also need something of a 'blended' edge where the two halves meet.

need PC with two video cards

need to calibrate the two PJs exactly alike, hope the bulbs age the same rate.
