hey again

another new problem for a new user

last nite i'm recording the ranger homecoming of messier http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif and watching gore/dubya= (i have a cable splitter) on reg cable. if i mute the tv i can faintly hear the replaytv broadcast/recording- i hear the audio from the channel recording the ranger game. ?????

is this 'normal'?

The MUTE function is entirely outside of Replay's control, if you are getting some sound some though it is either because of how you've wired things up or maybe your TV or receiver still lets some sound come though even in MUTE mode.

Mt TV will totally mute the sound but my receiver will still put a low volume through in mute mode.

the mute is used on the tv when i'm watching regular cable via the spitter, not when i;m watching a show recorded on replay. in this scenario (replay recording, and me watching live cable) i can still hear the broadcast that is being broadcast on replay, albeit faintly 'under' the live cable broadcast that i am viewing.
