Hi, I transferred (as in 2 hours ago) from DirecTV to Adelphia HD cable. I received two SA8000HD DVRs. One thing I noticed that I know i am going to miss is the dual tuner PVR that was my Ultimate TV. I liked being able to record two things at once, are there any cable boxes out there that offer similar functionality?

Really? Oh THANK YOU - I guess I should be reading about the equipment instead of watching HD TV


I took the lack of two RG6 inputs to mean I had lost the capability.

The 8300HD can also record two programs at once. Adelphia supports that in some markets.

You don't need two inputs with cable for dual tuners like you do with Directv, it just splits it internally.

Thanks again folks. The image is great, clunky interface, but I guess I just have to get used to the new hardware... until I can get an 8300 or a MOXI box
