Hello everyone

Please I am looking for some guidance, I have been looking non stop for a decent home theatre system that I can take overseas. My job is relocating me from NY all the way to South Africa, mind you....

and I just wanted a decent surround system where I can play High Def video and Audio for my PS3, average systems at Bestbuy look like pass through machines only, and I would like to play my games through the speakers not just TV audio

Someone told me the TX-SR706 or 806 have a voltage selector in the back, is that true? or being an amateur I am really better off with a much simpler system and some kind of voltage converter

Please advise,

much appreciated

The majority of AVRs are available in multiple voltage but not for retail sale in the USA. They are more costly and unless you are going oversea there is no requirement for that capability.

Previously certain dealers in NY actually carried multi-voltage AVRs but I have not investigated this subject for a few years. My suggestion would be to pull out the NY yellow pages and make some calls..

Just my $0.025...
