Perhaps in the very deepest bass, but in the upper bass 50hz+, the dual VTF-3 MK2 will outgun the HO.

Even still, wouldn't dual lesser performing subs like the VTF3-MK2 provide a more constant response throughout my room than a single HO especially when placed at opposite ends of the room?
These are my options:
1) Purchase the turbo for my VTF3-MK2
2) Purchase a second VTF3-MK2 and eventually add turbos to them
3) Sell my VTF3-MK2 and purchase a VTF3-HO with turbo.
With my room being 2600 cubic feet, which option would you choose?

If you can get a second VTF3-MK2, that would be my first choice of the options that you listed. There is another option that might be very satisfying, that would cost about the same as a second VTF3-MKII.
All the Best

Also, what other speakers are you using?

If you are up to experimenting, place your current sub immediately behind your primary listening position and rebalance your sub level relative to your other speakers. Also, correct the sub distance setting in your preamp/receiver. This should help a lot with getting your sub's frequency response level.
If you find that you sub sounds a bit directional, try lower crossovers till you reach the point that its non directional.
I would try this before springing for more subs. Wish I had done it before buying a second sub which I might be ebaying soon.

It outperforms the MK2 setup in SPL, extension, and sounds at least as goos if not better on music and movies. The MK2 setup was incredible, but if you asked me to trade my single HO w/turbo for a dual MK2 setup I'd tell you to have a nice day I'm keeping the HO. It's that good.

I just figured that having dual subs at opposite ends of the room would smooth out the room response considerably vs having only one sub.
My main concern is that I orginally bought my unit through a local distributor and now I have to order from the US. I'm really curious to know what the customs/duties fees would be for something like that. Wouldn't be too good to have a guy show up at my door with the sub asking for 40% extra to cover the border crossing![]()

Not only did I have dual VTF-3 MK2 subs, but when I started selling my MK2 subs to upgrade to the HO w/turbo I bought a turbo first and added that to the single MK2 I had left after selling the first one. The single MK2 w /turbo is just no match for the HO w/turbo The turbo did add 3-4dB and makes a nice improvement, but the HO w/turbo is in a different league.
Here's some links of what it was like when I had the dual MK2 setup the single MK2 w/turbo and a comparison between the HO and MK2 w/turbo. As good as the different MK2 setups were(and they were damn good) the HO w/turbo is still better.
