Hello All,

I am new here and have a couple questions. I did search before I posted. Somebody has a Dukane Lumen 8755D for sale and I was thinking about buying it. I tried to do some research on but it's all foreign language to me. I know that it is HDTV ready which I guess means I need to buy a High Definition Converter or Adapter. Also that it is Discontinued. He's selling it for $350. Will I be satisfied with the picture? Thank you so much everybody.

That is an LCD projector made by Hitachi. It does have component inputs, and will do a 16x9 aspect ratio at 1080i/720p (HD image). It does NOT have any tuners in it (as most projectors don't) so its not technically "an HDTV".

While these are "portable presentation" units, made primarily for the classroom, I have a similar one and it works good in my HT. They are made well (came with a five year warranty), are bright, and have lots of adjustments.

Do more research here and at projectorcentral.com before buying any display device.
