I want to burn a CD that will be played through my HT.

If I burn a CD with a bunch of FLAC extensions, It's lossless, but is it a crapshoot whether the disc will play depending what playback device I'm using? For instance, playing it in a car cd player etc...

I suppose you could loosely say it's a crap shoot. The information for the device in question should say if it plays FLACs.

If it doesn't say it does, it probably doesn't.

Ifyour player doesn't play FLAC files, and your buring program doesn't automatically decompress them when adding them for burning, then you will have to decompress them to their original wav format for them to burn and play in any player. as far as i know, a device needs the FLAC decoder to play FLAC files

RecordNow creates an exact copy of an audio CD. No fuss and the copy plays on any CD player.
