Dumbo

So it seems there are no threads about the Dumbo Blu-ray here...

Questions:

(1) Has anyone seen an official response on the delay of this title in the US? All I've seen is the UltimateDisney posting and lots of articles quoting it.

(2) Does anyone who has imported it from Mexico have the ability to post screenshots? I'm dying to know what it looks like.

Oh yeah, and screw Disney if they really are delaying this title by a whole year.

according to the studio today, it's STILL coming this year. It's just been delayed a bit. So stay tuned for more on that front in the weeks ahead.

I'm going to import this from Amazon UK instead of waiting for the US release. Patience is not a virtue with me.

The EU version of Dumbo is region locked. If you have a region free player it's no big deal, but if you don't . . .
You can import it from Mexico, and it gets released tomorrow. I have already got a shipping notice, and many members have already picked up copies.

It was $45 and some change to ship to Canada.
^^^^ That link is bad. I think you forgot the world wide web thing.
Sorry, I should have made it clear that I did see the digitalbits report, but it's awfully non-specific. And I guess I'm more inclined to believe UltimateDisney on this one. I have a bad feeling that Disney will come out in the end and say "we were trying to get it out this year, but it just didn't fit into the schedule..."

What I really want is some screenshots of the Mexico/UK versions.
I am just curious as to why it can be released in the UK/Mexico but god forbid its impossible to release at the same time in the US...is there really a reason?

Just Disney up to their usual shenanigans with odd marketing and release schedule tactics. I'm sure they think this is the best thing for them - as for best thing for the consumer, well that's another matter.
It's the same thing that they did with Monster's Inc.

They delayed the US release, but Japan saw the very first release in March, followed by the UK in July then finally US/CAN in November. Just the way that Disney does business.

Once I get my copy, i'll post screen grabs.

Excellent, thanks! Very excited to see screen grabs...
Any word on this for the US release? I know it's available from Mexico, but I'd like to have the US release.
I would bet this will be a sub $10 release in the US, after rebates, if past catalog releases are any indication
With Beauty coming out in October would it be more likely that this won't be released until next year?

This site is supposed to be pretty reliable.
So this is finally coming out here in the US. Has anyone heard if it was worth the wait or is it the same disk everyone else got?

WHEN it comes out in the US it will be the same disk everyone got from overseas - and it's gorgeous.
Is it really worth the upgrade from the DVD?...not exactly an A-list Disney movie.
It's on my A-list. With a 97% RT score I suspect it is on many others too.
Pre-ordered mine from Amazon a couple of days ago. They list the release date as September 20th. Looking forward to seeing it again as it's been a few years.
