So Dungeon Defenders finally has a release date and it's 10/19/2011. If you don't know what it is, here are a few of the reviews (I don't think you need to be a member of dungeondefenders.com to see these, but they're all 9 out of 10s.) It's a hybrid action RPG/tower defense game like Trenched, but with much more emphasis on the towers, leveling, and loot.

I've literally played it for hours on my iPad and that's a pretty gimped version of the game compared to the console release. There may have been a bit of intrigue between this and Orcs Must Die, which is being published by Microsoft. Basically, the game has been "done" since September of 2010 but first there was publisher drama and then Microsoft has been sitting on the final code for the game since May. Either way, I'm more excited about this game than a lot of the big releases that are coming out this fall.

It's a good time to be a TD fan on the Xbox!

You should be playing Toy Soldiers Cold War until this comes out. Playing Co-Op of course.

I still don't have all of my damn golds in Trenched and there'll be Orcs Must Die before this. Also, Defenders of Ardania looks amazing and hopefully they'll port Anomaly Warzone Earth to Xbox one day.

Is this gonna be as good or better than Defense Grid?

That's an amazingly good question! I love Defense Grid, but I've already spent two or three times longer playing this game, even though I have almost all golds in DG and the DLC. This game has a lot more to experience.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up, I'll probably have to get this one

It's out today and Destructoid gave it a 9.5 out of 10 and OXM gave it a 9. I'm downloading it at home right now, one of the few games that I've actually turned on my system to start downloading before I left for work. It's trending well at Metacritic too. http://www.destructoid.com/review-du...s-213811.phtml
Why didn't anyone tell me it had 4 player split screen! *Runs to download the demo!*
got this today... only played solo so far, but it's pretty fun... lvl 12 or so squire.

anyone want to pair up?
Great game.. Lvl 19 so far. A lot of weapons, upgrading etc. Its a buy as far as I'm concerned. I would recommend to anyone who like tower defense type games.
The new DLC is out today and it's only $4! Man, MS really wants this game to fail. They didn't even mention it in any of their DLC listings this week.
