I've done a search and supprisingly there are are very few if any real threads about dvb cards compatibility for linux.

Due to my WinTv-Go card being a complete failure under linux (only static/white noise for sound) , I plan on purchasing a dvb-t card. This time however i want to do things right and make sure whichever card i choose is well supported, used and documented in linux. (preferably with native drivers)

I live in the UK and am currently running ubuntu. later i plan on getting a skystar2 (dvb-s) for my satellite dish or even a cablestar (since i have a live cable feed), are these cards well supported in linux?

Can anyone provided me with any recommendations?

Thank you.
