Hello all,

OK...I'm almost there getting this HTPC setup the way I would like it.

I've got the video setup right but I'm having a problem with the audio.

The audio, when playing DVD's, is too low. If I set the volume on my receiver all the way up, I get somewhat decent sound, but nowhere near the sound I would get when playing the DVD from this home theater kit.

How can I solve this issue?

I have the audio connected directly to my receiver using an optical cable. Operating system sounds fine and super loud, but DVD playback is just too low for my liking.

I'm using oboard audio on motherboard that has optical out. Would a better sound card do the trick? Or is this another issue all together?

Any help appreciated...
