Here is a link to a free Excel spreadsheet that puports to contain most DVD's in existance (comercially released). It looks quite comprehensive.
http://hometheaterinfo.com/dvdlist.htm
It includes UPC codes for each DVD, so you could use a bar code scanner to scan your DVD's, find it in this spreadsheet, then highlight that row with another color.
Then, use
http://www.ozgrid.com/VBA/Sort.htm
or
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/SortByColor.htm
to add color-sort capability to Excel, and you can easily extract your DVD collection from the master list!
Not bad for a free list.
Post links to other free DVD databases, either downloadable or interactive web-based DVD databases.
Are there any freedb/ CDDB equivalents for DVD's?
