Are there any DVD players on the market that will play a file encoded in 1280X720? I have a file I downloaded in 1280 X 720 on a DVD+R . When trying to play the file in my DVD player, I get video resolution not supported error message.

Thanks

Very few DVD players will accept a high definition media file. Some Blu-ray players will and of course media server appliances and PCs will.

Do you know the container and codecs of your file?

You might try the search page at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers . Here are the results for divx HD: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers?...Submit2=Search

Thanks!

I tried playing the file in my Sony Blu Ray Player and it did not recognize the file. It came up as a photo CD.

What is it encoded in? If it's h.264/avc with aac audio you might be able to use a program called multiAVCHD to make it into an avchd compliant disc if your bluray player supports that format-I've used it many times with great success.
