So under MCE I can't get the menu highlights to show up.

under zoom player and WMP 10 it works just fine.

What could be wrong, any ideas?

And under MCE the onld sonic codec works correctly, but the winDVD6 and nvidia codecs do not work.

I've had trouble with menu highlights with both WinDVD and NVDVD codecs under MCE2005. I think its just some kind of configuration problem, but I haven't tracked it down yet. To test I formatted a different machine and did a clean install of MCE2005 and the NVDVD 4.0.0.58 codec and the highlights worked perfectly fine. So I know it "can" work correctly, its just a matter of figuring out whats stopping it from working on my main machine. I'll probably just format my main one tomorrow to see if I can get the highlights to work again. I've installed and uninstalled so many different codecs today during experimentation that its no wonder things are messed up. :)

well bummer, but I do understand sometimes that a clean format is faster.

Let me know if you can figure out what specifically it is.

I agree that from my trouble shooting it seems to be a MCE 2005 issue.

Well, I don't know specifically what it is, but I did format and now on the same exact machine and NVDVD codec that didn't have the menus highlighted in the MCE app now have perfectly working menu highlights.
