I have been looking at the Malata dvp520 which has x-y scaling. I understand that this scaling provides the best dvd picture on a projector, however, I may be wrong. So I have a few questions.
Is there any issue with using x-y scaling on an AE300?
If I play a non-anamorphic dvd, is the picture distored? Is there any difference in the picture quality between anamorphic and non-anamorphic if I set the player to match my pj?
There have been reports of the dvp520 overheating. Apparently that is why you can not turn it into standby. Are there any other dvd players that offer x-y scaling, or should I just wait until a replacement for the dvp520 is released.
Thanks for your help.
