dvd-r jumpy with powerdvd7

Does anyone use cyberlink powerdvd 7 to play dvd-r's on their computers to drive a video projector? I 'm using powerdvd 7 on a powerfull custom built notebook and also on a custom built desktop to play my dvd-r's. The playback on both have a very random and quick jump especially noticeable on vertical rolling credits. Store bought dvd's play fine.

Is powerdvd 7 max capable of playing dvd-rs without random jumps in the video? I'm having trouble playing them.
