Are there any DVD players that can play dvds written with a DVD+R/+RW PC burner?

My new computer has a DVD+R?+RW drive.

Or is there a workaround?

Diode1,

YES! I found the dvdplusrw.org website right after I posted my message. It is proving valuable.

I too have a NEC + burner. My Sony DVD player is listed as a Yes for compatibility on the dvdplusrw website. I am going through the list of possible problems. I only have about twenty minutes of video on the disc. Also, the way I burned it was pretty messed up. It was my first try.

Thanks for the link.

Have you ever changed the bitrate settings? The website says they don't know how to change them for NEC burners yet as NEC has not released the information on how to do it.

Sorry no help on the bitrate.

Never really looked into it.

If you have not yet tried DVD-X Copy give it a shot.

Sounds as it works very easy and it may not be available much longer.

Court case starts in a week or so.

Several B&M stores now have it on the shelves for $79.

Or online for less

You can d-load a very limited trial from 321 Studios.

It can even be purchased from Sears online!

Save your $79 and download the Freeware App of the Year: DVDShrink . :)

It doesn't have a built-in burn engine, but you can use whatever burning app -- like Nero Burning Rom -- that came with your drive to burn the copy to disc.
