Help me I have 10 thumbs. But, I occasionally have a rented dvd that I didnt get a chance to watch it and I'd like to dump it to my replay and watch it later. I'd prefer to use the S video. Is it possible? Why or why not? Discuss =)
Yes, it is possible. I do it all the time. Rent a DVD, play it into the RTV (recorded manually on med qual for the duration of the DVD) during the day when I'm at work, then return the DVD that evening, and watch it when I want to.
I have also been playing with ripping the dvd, using RTVConvert (cool tool!) and DVarchive (another cool tool) to stream it back, but I am having trouble with the audio that is ripped. It seems to be at a higher sample rate than RTVConvert or the RTV like.
