Yeah, I can see where this could be a bit confusing. Here's what's happened:
DVDO, the company, originally developed the iScan products. However, DVDO as a company ceased to exist in July of 2000 when they were bought by Silicon Image. At that time, Silicon Image became the source for the iScan product(s).
All of the original founders of DVDO have since left Silicon Image and started a new company, Anchor Bay Technologies (ABT). Effective as of April 2 of this year, ABT licensed/acquired the iScan business and the DVDO trademark from Silicon Image.
Also, the dvdo.com domain name was no longer being used by Silicon Image and was transferred to ABT along with the iScan product line and the DVDO trademark. So now, if you go to www.dvdo.com, you see the new DVDO-branded product line (which, for now at least, is just the iScan Pro and iScan Ultra) which is marketed and sold by ABT.
ABT also is providing all service and support for all 4 iScan products (Plus, Plus v2, Pro and Ultra). This is a good thing, as the people who originally designed all these products are now the ones supporting them as well.
