It depends. If you are talking about Dish Network HD, then I'd say "yes". The blu-ray player and HD from Dish should both be using Rec 709 decoding. If you mean standard definition from Dish, then there will be differences in color decoding between it and the player. Brightness, contrast, and grayscale adjustments will all be the same, but colors-particularly the brightness of red and green-will be different.
I don't agree Rolls. Based on the fact I've seen simulcasts of a live basketball game on FSN and ESPN (presidential addresses is another good way to check) and both had very different colors, I'd say the DVE disc only gives accurate results for the Blu-ray player you put it in. The settings you make for Blu-ray certainly should still be better for Dish HD than default factory settings.
