I am sure that this is a stupid question, but how do I determine if I should get the 720p or 1080i? I am goingot be using this wth the Mitsubishi 65813 and a Sony 36xbr450.

I would suggest you get the 1080i version. Both of those sets are very high resolution. However, the 1080i version is known to suffer from MPEG filtering making the frequency sweeps less useful. I thought about getting both to be able to test both signal types.
