DVI-2-HDMI Adapters/Cables??

304 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  redjr
Hope this is the correct forum for my question... If I'm about to buy an HDTV, should I be concerned if the model I'm looking at does NOT offer the DVI-D connector? IOW, if an HDMI port is available, is there any signal loss when using the various DVI-2-HDMI adpaters or converter cables? I would prefer both type connectors, but many models include one or the other.

When all the cables and adapters are properly functioning there is no signal loss. If there are problems, it will be manifest as sparkles or static.
There is nothing in an HDMI/DVI adapter or cable except wire and connectors. There will be no signal degradation caused by the change.

Thanks guys. That was my assumption, but just wanted to confirm that whatever make/model I choose, as long as it has one or the other I'm safe.
