Ok i've done alot of reading but I'm not clear on a few things. If a player has DVI out does it matter if it has a faroudja chip in it? Would a Bravo D! using DVI have a better picture than a xp-30 using component? Thanks for any help.

DVI's minimum resolution is 480p. If the Faroudja chip is doing

the deinterlacing ie converting from 480i to 480p it would

make a difference over DVI. The Faroudja deinterlacer is better

than the one in the Bravo D1.


The Bravo may give a better picture over DVI if it is driving a

digital display eg lcd, dlp or plasma but only if the Bravo

output is at the display's native resolution and refresh rate.
