Doing some experimenting with a Bravo D1.

I know that the DVI outputs analog as I connected it to my computer monitor. So I used the DVI:VGA dongle --> HD15 VGA extender -->HD15:DB9 adapter -->1031q.

And I get nothing. Even after cycling through the TV modes. After further playing and adding a DB9:DB25 adapter I get an image but nothing watchable (gray parallel images). Does this sound like the pinouts on the adapters don't match up with those on the PJ?

Has anybody successfully connected a DVI output to the 1031q?

I have done it with a DVI-I output [ not with a dvd player however ] .

--- Sounds like your Pin wiring is wrong as it should work at the RGB2 [ 25pin] input as long as you have DVI-I or DVI-A [ I think the Bravo is DVI-I even though they claim it to be DVI-D but I could be wrong ] .

--- I considered buying a DVI dvd player but after hearing that they do not compare to an HTPC at the same resolutions [ 720p & 1080i ] I decided it was not worth the investment .

--- If you need some help with the wiring then shoot me a PM ;) .

------ Best of Luck ,
